Based on a novel by British author Jackie Collins, the film stars her sister Joan Collins as pleasure-seeking divorcée, Fontaine Khaled, who has a sexually-charged but ill-starred relationship with diamond smuggler Nico, (Antonio Cantafora). Set against the backdrop of Fontaine’s nightclub. Money and sex are the ultimate power of The Bitch.

Handsome and sensual Tony Blake (Oliver Tobias) has ambitions to run his own London discotheque. When he meets the ravishing Fontaine Khaled (Joan Collins), Tony agrees to manage her disco and attend to her ‘personal requirements’ – but Fontaine’s stepdaughter also has plans for Tony. Both films feature evocative musical soundtracks. Top of the Pops dance group Legs & Co appear in The Stud, dancing to a performance by The Real Thing.
