There’s no doubt that Marty Wilde was our first real UK Rock ‘n’ Roller.  His weekly appearances on our TV screens in Six Five Special, Oh Boy! and Boy Meets Girls made Marty a familiar face on British TV screens from the mid-50s to the early 60s – and the records he made during that time were seldom far from the top of our charts. Marty had the looks and the talent to back it up. He was one of the only UK acts to breach the US Hot 100, and tour America at a time when very few of our artists got a look in ‘across the pond’. Later in his career, Marty’s song writing skills provided big UK hits for Status Quo, Lulu and his daughter Kim, among others. Marty enjoyed 13 UK hits between 1958 and 1962, most of which made the Top 20 or Top 10.  All 13 are featured here, alongside all of his A sides from the period as well as many B sides. Marty is still touring and entertaining crowds with his evergreen hits, including those featured here.
