One of the most iconic actors of the 20th century, MARILYN MONROE is one of a handful of big-name, “Hollywood Golden Era” performers who were underrated as singers and made very few records. This compilation draws together 27 songs recorded between 1949 and 1962, mainly from the soundtracks to Ladies Of The Chorus, Niagara, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, River Of No Return, There’s No Business Like Show Business, The Seven Year Itch, Bus Stop, The Prince And The Showgirl, Some Like It Hot and Let’s Make Love. Also included are a two superb studio recordings, one of which is our title track, plus two live recordings, closing with her most famous singing performance, Happy Birthday Mr President, sung to JFK at Madison Square Garden in May 1962.
