Shot in the leafy suburbs of Orpington, this is the story of two somewhat unprofessional criminals, played by Derren Nesbitt and Alan Guy, who hold a bank manager and his family prisoner in their home while their colleagues raid his bank. When their accomplices make off with the loot the captors find themselves in a losing situation as the local constabulary descend. Nesbitt gives a riveting performance as an incompetent, foul-mouthed, villain sparring with the wife of a middle class bank manager in her posh suburban home. Sylvia Syms gives as good as she gets as the lady of the house. Full of suspense and gritty 70s realism with a sleazy edge and the odd flash of humour, plus plenty of time capsule fashion, cars and interiors.
