FIREBALL XL5 and THUNDERBIRDS both feature a rich tapestry of themes and playful instrumentation created by Barry Gray. The music is compiled and mastered from Barry Gray’s original studio tapes and includes the Thunderbirds theme. The soundtracks reflect the moods of the scenes, dangerous, romantic, no-nonsense, even silly. Barry Gray was a classically trained composer and a versatile musician, among the first to use electronic instruments in music for television. Best known for his collaborations with television and film producer Gerry Anderson, Gray also worked on Dr. Who and the Daleks (1965); Island of Terror (1966) and Captain Scarlet (1967).
