In her early career Carole King regarded herself as a songwriter, writing music with her then husband Gerry Goffin; however, she released half a dozen singles between 1958-62, most notably her million-selling, 1962 worldwide hit It Might As Well Rain Until September. This unique compilation features those early 45s, including collectors’ rarities like Goin’ Wild, Under The Stars, Short Mort and Oh Neil!, her response to the Neil Sedaka song Oh! Carol, which he wrote after dating her in high school. Bonus tracks include twenty of Carole’s legendary demos, including songs which became major hits, such as, How Many Tears, Take Good Care Of My Baby, Walking With My Angel, Sharing You, Crying In The Rain, When My Little Girl Is Smiling, It Started All Over Again and Go Away Little Girl. These demos have never previously appeared on CD, making this an essential compilation for any Carole King fan.
