A Hitchcockian thriller, Chase a Crooked Shadow stars Anne Baxter as a wealthy young woman whose life is turned upside down by the sudden appearance of an enigmatic young man claiming to be her dead brother. Convinced the man is lying, she is dismayed to find the entire household, including her own uncle, accepting the man into the family. Isolated by her fear, and fearing for her sanity and her life, she turns in desperation to a Police Chief for help. Can they discover the secret behind the stranger?
