Holloway prison at the same time and their progress is followed during the next 24 hours. Each must decide whether to return to a life of crime, or to start afresh. Their stories are portrayed with delicacy and honesty, balancing poverty, loneliness, old age and optimism. With beautiful inner city cinematography by Geoffrey Unsworth, this film is an ode both to London and to the people who must find a way to live there.
