BILLY FURY wa one of the biggest home-grown pop stars of the pre-Beatles era. This compilation presents his first sixteen singles, (B-sides included), plus a bonus track, Fury’s Tune, from his first LP. This phenomenal body of work showcases his very best. 

Billy Fury, (real name Ronald Wycherley), was the original pop idol with a string of hits from the late 1950s through to the early 1960’s. On October 1st 1958 he talked his way
on to the bill of a show at the Essoldo Theatre in Birkenhead. Larry Parnes was putting on Marty Wilde at the theatre. Ronnie Wycherley talked his way backstage and, after a brief
audition, was added to the bill. Along with a string of early sixties hits, he starred in I’ve Gotta Horse with Amanda Barrie, Michael Medwin and Jon Pertwee.
